This year all Year 9 pupils enjoyed a fieldtrip investigative study of The Pollan Burn in Gortin Glen. This was part of their cross curricular skills topic with the maths department.

School Council
The Student Council is an elected body of pupils who meet on a regular basis with senior staff members.
They use this opportunity to bring forward new initiatives and issues of concerns on behalf of their peers.

Emma Receives Ulster Hockey Trial

Congratulations to Emma Harpur in year 10. She has been selected to attend an Ulster U16 Hockey Trial at the Civil Service playing fields in Stormont, Belfast. Emma is one of 3 girls selected from the whole of the Western Education Library Board area.

Congratulations also to Stacey Johnston and Jenny Rankin who represented the school as members of the Western Education Library Board U17 hockey squad and also to Emma Harpur, Emma Rankin and Rebecca Stewart who were on the U15 hockey squad. Both squads played in the Ulster Schools Inter Board Tournament with Mrs Lilly the manager of the U17 team and Mrs Spratt first aider and physio of the U15 team.

U14 Hockey Success

The Under 14 hockey team beat Omagh Academy 7-0 in the final of the West of Ulster league to receive the Griffin Trophy.

Year 8 Induction Day

Pupils entering Year 8 in September will have their Induction Day on Tuesday 18th June 2013. More details will appear closer to the day.

Mr Small Receives Award

Congratulations to Mr Small who has been awarded a certificate, a gold badge and tie pin by His Royal Highness , Prince Edward the Duke of Essex for 28years service to the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme on 12th February 2013.
